Floyd Asa Kelley of Manchester

Floyd Asa Kelley, 92 of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on August 23, 1933, in Delaware County, the son of Asa and Georgiana (Elsbury) Kelley. He was raised and educated in the area and graduated from Greeley High School in 1952.


He worked at Electro-Coating of Iowa in Cedar Rapids for over 50 years. After retiring Floyd moved back to Manchester from Cedar Rapids. Floyd was a proud member and union steward for the Teamster Union. He loved fishing, gardening, playing cards and going to household auctions. Floyd enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeye’s.


Survivors include his nephews and nieces, Bill (Ruth) Johnston of Nevada, Linda (John) Millard of Florida, Joyce (Steve)Everett of Edgewood, Stephen (Lois) Kelley of Manchester, Shirley (Mark) Possehl of Volga, Patricia Hawk of Sioux City, Mary Keel of Kentucky, JoAnn Kandel of Kentucky, Terry (Doris) Brady of Greeley, and Doris (Bruce) Schenke of Colesburg.


Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Vernon (Verna) Kelley, Delbert (Ruth) Kelley, and Harold Kelley; his sisters Esther (Merle) Winistorfer, Grace (Cecil) Brady, and Doris (Merle) Winistorfer; and nephews, Edgar Kelley and Mark Brady.


Floyd continued to give by becoming an organ donor with the Iowa Donor Network.
