Grant County Crash Alert Leads to OWI Charge

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 1:37am, the Grant County Sheriff's Office dispatch center received a crash alert from a cell phone on Pleasant Valley Road in the Township of Platteville.  

Grant County Sheriff's Office investigated the crash. It was determined the driver, Nolan Farnam (21), of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, was traveling southbound on Pleasant Valley Road when he lost control of his 2019 Kia Stinger and collided with an embankment. Farnam was transported to Southwest Health Center with non life threatening injuries. During the investigation, Farnam displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for Operating While Intoxicated- First Offense, and cited for Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control. 

Grant County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Platteville Fire Department, Southwest Health EMS, and Rip's Towing.
