Illinois man charged in connection with one-vehicle accident in Crawford County

Township of Utica, Wis. - On Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at approximately 6:01 p.m., Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that law enforcement personnel responded to a motor vehicle crash on West River Road.

An investigation determined that Finn Murray (35) of Franklin Park, Illinois, was traveling eastbound on West River Road, lost control of his vehicle, struck a utility pole, went over an embankment, and struck a tree.

Murray was cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and for failing to have control of his vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Ocooch Mountain Rescue Squad, Gays Mills Fire Department, Sleepy Hollow Towing Service, and Alliant Energy.
