Iowa Unemployment Rate

(Des Moines, IA) -- The number of unemployed Iowans is rising lately. A recent report shows Iowa's unemployment rate in July was lower than the national average at three-point-seven percent. That's slightly higher than this time last year, when the state's jobless rate was three-point-one percent. At least 64-thousand-900 Iowans were reportedly unemployed in July, which increased by 12-hundred people compared to June.
