Mary Jo Juran of Edgewood

Mary Jo Juran, 65, of Edgewood, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at her home. She was born on July 20, 1961, in Dubuque, the daughter of Robert and Donna (Klostermann) Juran. Mary was raised and educated in Edgewood and was a graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg High School.


Mary worked at the Can-Do Bottle and Can Redemption Center in Manchester. She also worked at the Edgewood Convalescent Home and volunteered at Storyland Child Care. Mary enjoyed playing games and doing the dishes. Mary especially loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them.


Survivors include her siblings, Judy (Dick) Vorwald of Edgewood, Rick (Laurie) Juran of Dyersville, Karen (Rick Frasher) Kruger of Manchester, Dale (Chris) Juran of Greeley, and Ken (Cathy) Juran of Coggon; fifteen nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and four great-great-nephews.


Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Donna Juran; two brothers, Daniel in infancy and Loras Juran; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Kruger.


Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her friendly personality and love for all was a light to everyone.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 5, 2026, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Edgewood, Iowa.


Visitation: 9: 00 to 11:00 a.m., on Monday, October 5, 2026, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Edgewood, Iowa.


Interment: St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Edgewood, Iowa
