Michalen Alan "Mike" Gibbs of Strawberry Point

Michael Alan “Mike” Gibbs, 61, of Strawberry Point, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home in Strawberry Point. He was born on May 1, 1964 in Manchester, the son of Frank and Judith (Baker) Gibbs. Michael was a 1982 Starmont High School graduate and then attended and graduated from Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls.

Michael was married to Terri Lewis and then became the father of eight children. The couple later divorced. He drove semi for various companies throughout his career, most notably for Trans Star Trucking. Most recently he worked helping area farmers. Michael loved watching the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include his eight children, Darrel Gibbs and Jamie Gibbs, both of Strawberry Point; Terrell Gibbs, Hannah Gibbs, Katherine Gibbs, and Jonathan Gibbs, all of Shawano, Wisconsin; and Dylan Gibbs and Nathan Gibbs, both of Marinette, Wisconsin; one grandson, Trey Johnston; a brother, Charlie Gibbs, Strawberry Point; and a sister, Beth (Tuan) Gibbs-Ha, White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters in infancy.
