The Monona City Council approved an update of a 28-E Agreement for Police Protection Services between Clayton County and the City of Monona. The adjustment covers a five-month period through June 30th while the Police Department operates with one-full time officer. The agreement calls for the County to charge $80 per hour if emergency service is needed from the Sheriff's Department.
The Council approved Austin Wille as the new Police Chief.
The Council also approved the hiring of Cydney Alber and Jacob Daughtry as Police Officers. Both will start out at $22 per hour and they will go through the academy training within the next year.
