Monona City Council Approves Increase for Garbage/Recycling Rates

The Monona City Council approved a resolution to increase Garbage/Recycling Rates. The city is receiving an extra fuel charge so they will raise rates by $1.50 a month.

The Council approved a bid of 68-hundred dollars for Phase One for the Pool Inspection Project.

They accepted a bid to sell a portion of the wooded area of the Butterfly Trail for three-thousand dollars to Tim and Dawn Hying.

They paid the final invoices for the Fire Station Roof for 54-thousand dollars, 12-thousand less than expected.

The also accepted a bid for the 111 West CenterStreet Building. The bid went to Aaron Heins, who has plans to turn the structure into a 50/50 Storefront/Shop Area with an upstairs apartment.
