Monona City Council introduced to new Police Chief, Center Street Project planned

The Monona City Council was introduced to new Police Chief Mitchell Jipson. Jipson is from Guttenberg and previously worked with the Peosta Police Department.

The Council accepted a letter of resignation from Probation Police Officer Sydney Alber.

The Council approved a street project for Center Street next summer. The project is estimated at 859-thousand dollars and will include replacing the street, water and sewer lines, sidewalk work and more.

The Council approved a budget request from Clayton County Development for 25-hundred and they approved a pledge of one-thousand dollars to the Clayton County 2027 Marketing Campaign.
