No injuries in minor accident in Fayette County, a Hawkeye man arrested

On January 6, 2026 at approximately 5:33 AM a Fayette County Deputy came across a vehicle with damage and deer carcasses on Highway 150 south of the city of Fayette. Upon investigation it was determined 67-year-old Bonita Oliver of Ossian was northbound on Highway 150 in a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado when two deer entered the roadway. Oliver’s vehicle struck the deer causing disabling damage. No injuries were reported and the vehicle sustained approximately $5,000 damage.
On January 7th, 2026, at approximately 4:15 pm in the city of Hawkeye a Fayette County Deputy arrested Marcos Javier Ramirez Medina age 28 of Hawkeye. Medina was arrested for Driving While License Revoked and was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he awaits his initial appearance.
