No injuries reported in single-vehicle accident in Fayette County.

On January 26, 2026 at approximately 11:54 PM the Fayette County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Highway 18 and Ironwood Road.  Upon investigation it was determined a 17 year old female was traveling east on Highway 18 when she lost control of her 2018 Honda Accord and entered the ditch, striking a fence.  The vehicle sustained approximately $4,000 damage.  There were no injuries reported.  The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and Torkelson Motors.
