Oelwein Man Arrested For Sex Offender Registry Violation

On September 16, 2026, at 1:16PM, Ronald Ernest Tripp 74 of Oelwein was arrested for Violation of Sex Offender Registry.  Tripp was seen driving a vehicle in downtown Oelwein that he had not reported on the registry.  He was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held for an initial appearance.
