One person injured in a two-vehicle accident in Fayette County.

One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Fayette County. The Iowa State Patrol reports that the accident occurred on October 10th at 1:23pm at the intersection of Highway 3 and G Avenue. 18-year old Noah Lucas Evans of West Union was operating a 2016 Dodge Caravan, westbound on Highway 3. A 2023 Bluebird Bus operated by 81-year old Thomas Bernard Grapes of West Union was traveling northbound, failed to yield the right of way to the Evans vehicle and they collided. A passenger on the Bluebird bus was injured. 75-year old Lydia Kristine Van Gelder of West Union was injured in the accident. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Fayette County Sheriff's Department and Aurora Fire Department.
