One Person Killed, Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident in Dubuque County

The Iowa State Patrol reports that one person was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle accident in Dubuque County. An 81-year old from Cedar Rapids was declared dead at the scene. The injured are a 51-year old from Decorah, a 26-year old from Ossian, and a 22-year old from Cresco. All three were taken by Bi-County Ambulance to MercyOne Dyersville for treatment of injuries. The accident occurred at 9:54am on July 27th when a 2022 Ford Escape operated by the 81-year old crossed the center line on Highway 52 and Double J Lane. The vehicle collided head-on with a 2017 Ford F-250 operated by the 51-year old from Cresco. No names have been released.
