Two Bodies Recovered from the Mississippi River Following Boating Accident

On October 3, 2026 members of the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa DNR, Dubuque County Conservation, Key West EMS and East Dubuque, IL EMS responded to Massey Marina for a single boat accident on the Mississippi River. Two male occupants of the boat were recovered from the Mississippi River and pronounced deceased on scene. The incident is under investigation by the Iowa DNR and is on-going. The names of involved parties will be released at 9:00 AM on Monday, October 5^th, 2026 pending notifications to family.
