Wadena Public Libary Board announces the hiring of new Library Director

The Wadena Public Library Board has announced the hiring of Jenna Van Meeteren as Library Director. Van Meeteren, a 2008 Valley High School graduate is a familiar face in the community. When asked about her new position, Van Meeteren stated, “I’m passionate about serving our rural communities and educational opportunities. Serving the Library Board and its patrons seemed like a natural fit.”

Van Meeteren served as the Clayton County Conservation Board’s Executive Director since 2015. She only recently vacated that role after welcoming her first-born child in April of this year. She and her husband enjoy farming together, and Jenna operates a bookkeeping business part-time.

The Wadena Library will be offering programming to facilitate the Summer Reading Program beginning in July. Existing programming and services will continue.
