Waterloo Man Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Winneshiek County

A Waterloo man died in a motorcycle accident in Winneshiek County. 65-year old Russell James Knudson died in the accident. Authorities report the accident happened on August 22^nd at 5:54pm on Old Stage Road. Knudson was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson westbound when the vehicle left the north side of the roadway while negotiating a curve. Knudson was taken by EMS Ground to WinnMed Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead. Authorities state that no determination to speed or cause has been made at this time. The investigation remains open pending scene measurements, photographs, drone imagery, and the findings of the medical examiner.
