William "Bill" Ray Williams of Manchester

William “Bill” Ray Williams, 80, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. He was born on March 10, 1946, the son of Charles and Anna (Badger) Williams. Bill was raised and educated in the area and graduated from Manchester High School in 1964. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the United States Marines and served honorably in the Vietnam war.


Following his military service, Bill trained as an electrician and dedicated his career to that trade. Bill enjoyed his dog, Sarg, as well as shooting pool, hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He also looked forward to sharing meals and visiting friends at the Sunset Restaurant.


He is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Williams-White and Judith Bemer; sisters-in-law, Dianne Williams, Donna Williams, and Carolyn Strauss; along with many nieces and nephews.


Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Charles Williams, Frances Williams, Larry Williams, Jerry (Lynda) Williams, Dennis Williams, and Pamela Williams; and brother-in-law, Charles Bemer.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Leonard Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa, with Pastor Phil Rogers officiating.


Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at Leonard Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa.


Interment with Military Honors: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester, Iowa
