A group of around 80-people attended a public meeting on Monday night concerned about the loss of a grocery store in Monona. The meeting was held by the Monona Chamber of Commerce and the City of Monona. The Chamber is continuing to work to try to find a chain or some other Grocery Group to take over and has contacted at least ten different outlets but has had no initial success. One of the main ideas involved a possible Meat and Fresh Produce Market or a smaller-sized grocery store be available and could that work in the city. Work will continue on the issue.
