Cascade Man Pronounced Dead on Scene Following Single-Vehicle Accident

On September 18, 2026 at approximately 3:09 AM a Delaware County Deputy came across a single vehicle accident in the 2900 block of Goose Hill Road Cascade, IA. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and Cascade Fire and EMS along with Delaware County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident scene. Investigation revealed that an eastbound passenger car driven by John Gadient (7/26/2000) of Cascade left the roadway, traveling through the south side ditch area and striking a tree. Gadient was the sole occupant of the vehicle was deceased on scene.
