City of Marquette will be Hydrant Flushing on October 7th, 8th, and 9th

Routine hydrant flushing will take place throughout the City of Marquette October 7, 8, & 9th, 2026. During the flushing of water lines, homeowners may experience a reduction in water pressure or draw some discolored (rusty) water. This is only temporary.

Prior to performing tasks that require absolutely clear water (doing laundry), check for discoloration and sediment deposits. If this occurs, allow water to run through a screen free faucet (bathtub or outside lawn faucet) until water runs clear.
