Cresco woman injured in single-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County.

A Cresco woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County. 22-year old Iva Marie Tangen sustained minor injuries and was transported to Regional Health Services of Howard County for medical assessment. Authorities report that the accident occurred on April 13th at 11:08pm on Iowa Highway 139. Tangen was operating a 2016 Jeep Compass near 315th Street and encountered a deer in the roadway. Tangen took evasive action and lost control and entered the north ditch and struck a culvert. Damage totaled 10-thousand dollars and no charges are filed.
