Damage totals 400-thousand dollars in structure fire in Dubuque County

On April 4, 2026 at 6:23 pm, Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office along with Epworth Fire/EMS, and Key West Fire responded to 10947 Whitetop Rd for the report of a structure fire. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire. The residence, owned by William and Kathleen Rettenmeier, sustained approximately $400,000 in damage. The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature, and no injuries were reported.
