SCAM ALERT! DELAWARE COUNTY RESIDENTS

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of individuals traveling throughout Delaware County claiming to represent Tri-State Paving and offering discounted asphalt and paving services.

These individuals are NOT affiliated with Tri-State Paving.

This is a known scam that has been reported in various communities. In many cases, residents are offered a “special deal” on leftover asphalt or paving materials. After the work is completed and payment is made, the quality of the work is often significantly below what was promised, leaving homeowners with substandard results and little recourse.

Be cautious of:

• Unsolicited door to door paving offers

• Claims of “leftover” asphalt from another job

• High-pressure sales tactics

• Requests for immediate payment or cash

Before hiring any contractor, verify their identity, check references, and obtain a written estimate.

If you have been contacted by these individuals or believe you may have been targeted, please contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
