Delaware County Authorities release information on two accidents and six arrest incidents

An Earlville man was charged in connection with a two-vehicle accident in Delaware County. The accident occurred on March 19th at 2:10pm on Highway 20. 81-year old Joseph William Cooksley of Earlville was operating a 2021 Buick Encore. Cookley was attempting a u-turn and did not see a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix operated by 19-year old Isaac Jerome Ernzen of Manchester. Both vehicles had heavy damage to the front driver’s side. No injuries reported and damage totaled 20-thousand dollars. Cooksley was charged with Failure to Yield Upon Entering Through Highway.
No injuries reported in a two-vehicle accident in Manchester. The accident occurred on March 30th at 12:20pm. 64-year old Thomas Earl Wurster of Springville was operating a 2006 Peterbilt Semi-Trailer. Wurster was southbound on Highway 13 making a right turn at Main Street. Another vehicle was way out in the intersection past the white stop line in the road. Wurster attempted to avoid the car and ended up striking a Manchester City Truck, a 2024 Ford Super Duty, operated by 41-year old Jeremy James Robinson of Manchester. The semi knocked over the pole that has the button on it for the cross walk. Damage totaled 13-thousand dollars.
