Delaware County closes Courthouse Southeast Parking Lot for Construction Project

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors has contracted with Merit Construction, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to construct a 13,500 square foot addition to the Delaware County Courthouse and to renovate areas of the existing courthouse structure.

Due to the onset of construction, the southeast parking lot of the Delaware County Courthouse will be closed to the public beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 5:30 pm and will remain closed for the duration of construction. Those wishing to access courthouse offices are asked to utilize the angle parking along the west side of the courthouse. Alternative handicap accessible parking will be provided.

An official ground breaking will take place on Monday, April 6, 2026 at approximately 10:30 am in the east courthouse lawn.
