Dyersville Dreamers picked as team name for the Field of Dreams Baseball Team

(Dyersville, IA) -- A name has been picked for the baseball team playing at the Field of Dreams ballpark. The Dyersville Dreamers will be the newest edition to the Northwoods League starting in 2027. Voters chose the name out of five finalists: the Corn Dogs, the Ghosts, the Moonlighters, the Spirits and the Dreamers. The $120-million-dollar professional ballpark opened in June and is hosting the Northwoods League All-Star game tonight at 7 p.m. The Phillies and Twins will face off at the Dyersville ballpark August 13 in a game that will stream live on Netflix.
