Fayette County Authorities Release Information on Seven Arrest Incidents

On August 9th, 2026, at approximately 3:35 PM, a Fayette County Deputy arrested Renee Lynne Owens (age 49), of Waverly, for  2 active arrest warrants for OWI 1st Offense and Open Container. Renee was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she was held on a $1,000 cash or surety & $300 cash only bond. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office. 

 

On August 8th, 2026, at approximately 12:13 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls regarding a domestic abuse situation occurring at a residence in the 28,000 block of V Ave near Waucoma, Iowa. Fayette County Deputies arrived and conducted an investigation. Subsequently, 45-year-old Justin Kuennen of Waucoma was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – 1st Offense and Harassment in the 1st Degree. Justin was transported to the Fayette County Jail to await initial appearance.

 

On 8/6/2026, Tyler Forney (31 y/o from Fayette) was arrested on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant for animal neglect, no injury or death. Tyler was held on a $500 bond.

 

On 8/7/2026, Preston Papenfuss (44 y/o from Postville, IA) was arrested on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant for escaping the West Union Residential Facility. Papenfuss was held on a no bond hold.

 

On August 9th, 2026, shortly before 3:24 AM a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped a vehicle on Mill St. in Clermont for speeding. 23-year-old Rivaldo Martinez of Postville, Iowa was arrested and charged with Operating while Intoxicated 2nd Offense, Open Container – Driver, Speeding 21 + miles per hour over speed limit, and Operation without Registration. Martinez was transported to the Fayette County Jail to await initial appearance.

 

On 8/8/2026 at approximately 12:22 PM, Summer Roussel (48 y/o from Dubuque, IA) was arrested for driving to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office on a suspended license. Summer was issued a Promise to Appear and was released.

 

On August 9, 2026, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Lynette June Knickerbocker, age 29 of Monona, on multiple valid Fayette County Warrants for Trespassing 1st Offense (Simple Misdemeanor), Disorderly Conduct (Serious Misdemeanor), Public Intoxication (Public Intoxication), and Simulated Public Intoxication (Simple Misdemeanors). Knickerbocker was transported to the Fayette County Jail where she is being held on a $3000 cash or surety bond and awaits an initial appearance from a Magistrate Judge. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
