Fayette County Authorities release information on two assault arrests, and a Kansas woman arrested on Theft Warrant

On 3/24/2026 at approximately 2:58 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received a call of a suicidal male subject that had left his residence to an unknown location. The male subject was later located at an Oelwein residence with no injuries. Upon investigation, it was learned that there was an assault had taken place earlier. Madison Royall 22, of Keizer, OR was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault causing bodily injury and Thaddeus Walker 22 of Maynard, IA. was arrested and charged with Domestic abuse assault, 2nd offense. They were transported to the Fayette County Jail where they were held for their initial appearance.
On March 22, 2026, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ashley Calhound Harper, age 39 of Wichita, KS, on a valid Fayette County warrant for Theft 1st Degree (C Felony) and Violation of Compulsory Education 1st Offense (Simple Misdemeanor). Harper was transported to the Fayette County Jail, IA, where she received an initial appearance. Harper is being held on a $20,000 cash only bond. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas.
