Luana City Council Minutes of June 2, 2026

The Luana City Council held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 7:00 pm. with Council Members Lonnie Baade, Kevin Boddicker, Todd Olson, Craig Radloff and Jackie Radloff-Schneider present. Absent: None.

Mayor Luke Steege called meeting to order at 7:00 pm.

Minutes of May meeting were reviewed and approved upon a motion by Olson second by Baade carried unanimously. 

Boddicker motioned to pay all monthly claims totaling $35,270.22, Radloff-Schneider second, carried unanimously. Receipts for the month totaled $33,993.02. Radloff-Schneider motioned to pass Res. 6-2026 T.O.F, Olson second, carried unanimously. Council reviewed reconciled reports.

Clayton County Childcare Coalition spoke with the council about childcare in our county. Goals to increase the number of regulated childcare spaces in Clayton County by a minimum of 48 spaces by 2030. Both Endowed and Non-Edowed Funds were discussed.

Humble informed council that parcel for lagoon project has been recorded. City is waiting for the title opinion. Closing will be scheduled after this completion.

Boddicker motioned to approve the renewal of the Cigarette/Tobacco and Liquor license for Luana Tavern, Radloff second, carried unanimously. Olson abstained from voting.

Council discussed several ordinance violations within the city. Vehicles parked overnight on city streets, unlicensed vehicles within the city and uncut lawns were topics discussed. Humble was instructed to send letters to violators.

Next regular council meeting will be held July 2, 2026, at 7:00 pm.

Mayor Steege adjourned the meeting at 7:47 pm.
