Marjorie Mae (Knickerbocker) Perrinjaquet, 95, of Edgewood, Iowa came into this world a towhead on July 26, 1930 and left peacefully with beautiful white locks on May 25, 2026 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home.
Her sweet spirit warmed our hearts and signature baked goods indulged our tastebuds. In fact, she embodied “Hostess with the Mostess” because she enjoyed nothing more than to nourish others with her yummy food and fun-loving energy. She had a “need to feed.”
When not in the kitchen, Marjorie could be found planting flowers at the church, serving on numerous committees (Edgewood Women’s Club, United Methodist Women and Pythian Sisters to name a few) -- always with a cheerful smile, genuine willingness, and kind heart.
After growing up on a farm (a fond memory to the very end), baking at least a million chocolate chip cookies (we did the math!), washing thousands of windows (just ask her neighbors), loving her family beyond measure, serving her community with pride and sharing her joyful spirit with all she encountered, our precious “Energizer Bunny” is finally taking a rest, embraced by loved ones who were waiting to greet her.
Those she has been eager to see again include her husband Gerald of 72 years; son Kevin; parents Floyd and Verna; and siblings Donna Nieman, Doris Nieman, Bruce, Buryle, Alfred Henry, and Wilma Raders.
Marjorie is survived by her son Craig of Breckenridge, CO; daughter Karen (Peter) Huston of Galena, IL; daughter-in-law Margaret of Edgewood; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and friends too numerous to count.
Please join the family for a life celebration at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Edgewood on June 20th. Visitation begins at 10:00 with service at 11:30 followed by lunch and cookie dunking ceremony.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to: Trinity United Methodist Church (PO Box 309; Edgewood, IA 52042) or DoctorsToTheWorld.org (Craig Perrinjaquet’s nonprofit that delivers medical supplies and support to the people of the Nuba Mountains in war-torn Sudan).
