The Marquette City Council approved bids for the Chicago Street Project. Work will include resurfacing and a storm water project. The bid totals just over 91-thousand and is expected to be completed by the end of June.
The Council also approved a motion to fix 350-feet of water main on Highway 76 and begin the planning process to replace the entire section from Edgar to Anti-Monopoly Street.
The Council set March 23rd as the date for the Public Hearing on the Proposed Property Tax Levy. The proposed Levy is expected to remain the same at $7.08-per thousand assessed valuation.
