MFL MarMac Board approves staff raises

The MFL MarMac School Board approved a 3.3% increase for non-bargaining employees, which includes administrators, directors and central office staff.

The Board also approved a 3.6% increase for Education Support Personnel, which includes custodians, food service, transportation, secretaries and paraprofessionals.

The Board additionally approved a 3.5% increase for a certified nurse and for the teachers.

The MFL MarMac Board hired David Corlett as Middle School Assistant Football Coach. Emme Schroeder as Preschool Teacher. Cheri Moser as High School Musical Head Coach and Jonathon Moser as Assistant High School Musical, Assistant Large Group Speech and Assistant Small Group Speech Coach.

The MFL MarMac Community School District held a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors (Iowa Code 279.2) on April 28, 2026, in the Monona Center Learning Commons.

President, Dr. Jonathon Moser, called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. Members present at roll call were Roberta Hass (via phone due to family obligation), Aaron Schroeder, Danielle Schlake, Joshua Grau and Marti Post. Tonya Meyer was absent. Also present were Superintendent, Tim Dugger; and Board Secretary, Karla Hanson.

Motion by Marti Post, seconded by Danielle Schlake, to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Danielle Schlake, seconded by Marti Post, to approve a 3.3% increase for non-bargaining employees, which includes administrators, directors and central office staff. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Roberta Hass, seconded by Marti Post, to approve a 3.6% increase for Education Support Personnel, which includes custodians, food service, transportation, secretaries and paraprofessionals. The new contract covers three years of salary and five years for language. Change in language includes adding up to five Virtual Days as paid days. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Josh Grau, seconded by Danielle Schlake, to approve a 3.5% increase for a certified nurse and for the teachers. The contract covers salary and benefits for one year and language through 2030. Motion carried unanimously.

Abstaining from voting were Jonathon Moser and Aaron Schroeder. Aye votes from Marti Post, Roberta Hass, Danielle Schlake and Josh Grau. Motion carries.

President Moser adjourned the Special Meeting at 12:07 p.m.
