Monona City Council accepting bids for the Center Street Improvement Project

The Monona City Council announced bids for the Center Street Improvement Project will be accepted until March 13th. The public hearing and bid letting will be held at the March 16th meeting.
The Council approved a five-year water and sewer service agreement with Peoples Service. No increase takes place in year one and no more than a six-percent increase over year two to five.
The preliminary budget tax levy is expected to decrease 40-cents, down to $16.58-per thousand.
The Council also approved the purchase of a pump at the Waste Water Treatment Plant at a cost of 21-thousand.
