Monona City Council continues discussion on Community Water Fluoridation, Council receives word that Quillins Grocery Store closes this month

The Monona City Council continued discussion on the Community Water Fluoridation issue. The Council heard information from Kiane Smith who is the Oral Health and I-Smile Coordinator about the advantages. The City, which has not started the 90-day elimination window, will continue to look into options and further information on the issue.
The Council approved the purchase of the K-9 unit from the city of Postville for 17-thousand-eight hundred dollars. The Postville Council will discuss the offer at the January 12th meeting.
The Council was also informed that Quillin's Grocery Store in Monona will be closing effective on January 23rd.
