Monona Council approves bond purchase for Center Street Project.

The Monona City Council approved the purchase of 1.1-million dollars worth of bonds for the Center Street Improvement Project. The project is currently out for bids and the plan is to start work this spring.
The Council approved 142-thousand dollars worth of overlay work on areas of Page, West, and Davis Street.
They approved crack sealing work of 17-thousand dollars in a number of areas.
The Monona Council approved the purchase of three tasers and supplies for the Police Department at a cost of 55-thousand dollars over a ten-year payout. They also approved video equipment for 15-thousand for the Police Department.
The Council approved 23-thousand dollars worth of preventive maintenance on a portion of the Wastewater Treatment System.
They also set March 23rd as the date for the public hearing on the projected levy for 26-27 fiscal year.
