Oelwein Police Release Information on Three Arrest Incidents from August 25th

On August 25, 2026, Oelwein Police formally charged a 14-year-old male juvenile with Assault - Simple Misdemeanor. This charge was filed after completion of an investigation by Oelwein Police and Health and Human Services of an incident that occurred on July 31, 2026. The guardians of the juvenile have been notified, and the matter has been referred to Juvenile Court.
At 1:18am on August 25, 2026, Oelwein Police arrested Pamela Jean Haun, 68, of Oelwein. Haun was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance - Serious Misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 10 block of 2nd Ave NW.
At 7:20pm on August 25, 2026, Oelwein Police arrested Michelle Ruth Williams, 52, of Oelwein, after responding to an active domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of S Frederick Ave. Williams was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Serious Misdemeanor, Possession of a Controlled Substance - Serious Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor.
