One person injured in single-vehicle accident near Clermont and an Oelwein man arrested on warrant

On March 7th, 2026, at approximately 2016 hours, Fayette County Communications received report of a single vehicle rollover accident near the intersection of Garden Road/Harding Road, Clermont, IA. Upon Deputy arrival, it was determined that Cameron Hubka (age 18) of West Union, IA was driving southbound on Garden Road when he lost control of his vehicle, entering the ditch and rolled over causing approximately $5000.00 in damage. A juvenile passenger was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital. Fayette County Sheriff's Office was assisted by West Union Fire Department, Gundersen Ambulance Service, and Torkelson's Auto.  

On March 8, 2026, at approximately 8:00 am, the Fayette County Sheriff's Office arrested Lee Ray Buhr, age 80 of Oelwein, on a valid Fayette County Warrant for Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Misdemeanor (Aggravated Misdemeanor). Buhr was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he is being held on a $2000 cash only bond and awaits an initial appearance from a Magistrate Judge.
