Prairie du Chien City Council Approves New Waste/Recycle Collector

The Prairie du Chien City Council approved a five-year contract agreement with Kluesner Sanitation for Waste/Recycle and Yard Waste services in the city.

The Council approved an ordinance dealing with Motorized Scooters. Areas will be mapped out in the city for use on multi-use paths or on streets. Motorized Scooters will not be allowed on Blackhawk Avenue.

The Council amended the ATV and UTV Ordinance which now allows use of those vehicles 24-hours a day. Previously they were not allowed between 10pm and 6am.

The Council appointed Lydia Thies as Municipal Judge. Thies replaces Dan Key who is retiring.

The Council accepted the resignation of Jacob Atkinson from the Street Department. The city will begin the process of hiring a replacement.
