Prairie du Chien School Board sets Informational Meetings for Operating Referendum

The Prairie du Chien School Board set March 16^th as the date for Operating Referendum Informational Meetings at 12:30pm and 6:30pm in the Prairie du Chien Area Arts Center. The vote on the referendum will be held on April 7^th.

They approved the sale of a house on 705 South Buchanon Street and the house on 800 East Taylor Street owned by the District. The houses were sold for a total of 355-thousand dollars, which will be used toward the school budget.

The Board approved the hiring of Alex Mathies as Head Soccer Girls Coach, Amy Foster as Bluff View Teacher’s Aide, and Jacob Marshall as JV2 Baseball Coach.

The Board accepted the retirement agreements for Brek Schneider as Alternative Education Teacher, Michelle O’Brien as High School Librarian, Stewart Slaman as Middle School Band Teacher and Karen Welter as Special Education Instructor.

The Board also accepted the resignations of Holly Tanner as Mock Trial Advisor, Jeff Mara as JV Baseball Coach, Ron Sedgwick as JV2 Baseball Coach and Bailey Sternitske as Assistant Middle School Track Coach.
