Strawberry Point woman injured in a two-vehicle accident in Delaware County
A Straweberry Point woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Delaware County. 73-year old Valerie Nell Paris was injured in the accident. Authorities report that the accident occurred on October 7th at 4:22pm on 140th Avenue. 32-year old Keenan Joseph McQuillen of Dundee was operating a 2025 Chevy Silverado near 110th Street. McQillen stated he saw a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse operated by Paris traveling at a high rate of speed. Paris reportedly went off the right side of the pavement, over corrected and lost control. The vehicle crossed the center line and struck the McQuillen vehicle in the rear passenger side. The Paris vehicle continued into the west ditch, overturned and came to rest on its wheels. Paris was taken by Strawberry Point Ambulance to Regional Medical Center for treatment. McQuillen was not injured. Damage totaled 28-thousand dollars. Paris was charged with Excessive Speed and Failure to Maintain Control.
