Theft Charges Against a Former Delhi City Mayor are Dissmissed

Charges against a former Delhi Mayor charged with first-degree theft and impersonating a public official have been dismissed. Gregory D. Preussner was mayor in Dehli from 2016 to 2021 and was charged after a criminal investigation last year into former Delhi City Clerk Lori Tucker. Tucker was charged with making improper disbursements in excess of 10-thousand dollars. Preussner admitted to having knowledge of and approving some improper disbursements. Charges against Tucker were dismissed because they weren't filed for more than a year after the alleged crime. The defense team for Preussner argued that his charges were also filed too late to prosecute.
