Two people face drug-related charges after traffic stop in Crawford County

Town of Wauzeka - On Monday, March 23rd, 2026, Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office initiated contact with a suspicious vehicle on Dutch Ridge Road. The driver was identified as Bryant Nyberg (35) of Beloit, Wisconsin, and his passenger as Holly Polkinghorn (38) of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Law enforcement personnel observed that Nyberg and Polkinghorn displayed indicators of drug impairment. Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle ensued, and unprescribed prescription medication and methamphetamine were discovered. Nyberg failed a drug influence evaluation and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (2nd Offense) and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. Polkinghorn was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
