Two Soldier Grove residents face multiple drug and traffic charges.

Soldiers Grove Man Arrested on Multiple Drug and Traffic Charges

SOLDIERS GROVE, Wis. — Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that on June 17, 2026, a traffic stop was conducted in the Village of Soldiers Grove, Crawford County, Wisconsin.

The vehicle’s operator, Michael Anderson, 27, of Soldiers Grove, drove past law enforcement and accelerated into an alley. Anderson and his passenger, Laura Schaller, 39, of Soldiers Grove, exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Both individuals were detained.

During the investigation, Anderson and Schaller displayed signs consistent with drug impairment and were found to be in possession of methamphetamine smoking devices.

Anderson was administered field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (6th Offense). A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of an additional methamphetamine smoking device and THC concentrate.

Further investigation revealed that Anderson’s driving privileges had been revoked, and he was required to have an ignition interlock device.

Anderson was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on the following charges:

- Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance (6th Offense).

- Felony Eluding

- Possession of Methamphetamine

- Possession of THC

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

- Operating After Revocation

- Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device

- Obstructing an Officer

- Violation of Probation

Schaller was released from the scene pending charges of:

- Possession of Methamphetamine – Party to a Crime

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Party to a Crime
