Winneshiek County Accidents

No injuries reported in a rollover accident in Winneshiek County. The accident occurred on July 11^th at 9:40pm. 41-year old Amanda Schuttemeier was operating a 2019 Volkswagen Atlas on Quarry Hill Road. The Schuttemeier vehicle was northbound and rounding a curve when it left the roadway and rolled into a steep ditch. Schuttemeier and two minor children were not injured in the accident. Damage totaled 15-thousand dollars.

Authorities released information on a two-vehicle accident in Winneshiek County. The accident occurred on July 12^th at 4:10pm near the intersection of Division and Centrum Street in Decorah. 35-year old Ashley Morgan Floy of Decorah was operating a 2018 Ford Explorer. The Floy vehicle entered the roadway and did not yield the right of way and collided head on with a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse operated by 39-year old Erin Ann Tieskoetter of Ossian. A minor in the Floy vehicle complained of head pain but was not transported to the hospital. Damage totaled 15-thousand dollars. Floy was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
