Clayton Ridge School Board approves hiring of Principal and Social Studies Teacher

The Clayton Ridge School Board approved the hiring of Ryan Fritz as 6-12 High School Principal. Fritz has spent the past seven years as a Principal with the Cascade School District.

The Board approved the hiring of Adam Sadewasser as High School Social Studies Teacher.

GUTTENBERG, IA — The Clayton Ridge Community School District has announced that Ryan Fritz will serve as the district’s next MS/HS Principal pending board finalization of materials. 

Fritz has served as the Cascade Jr./Sr. High School Principal for the past seven years. He brings 15 years of leadership experience across school systems in Iowa and Arizona, along with a strong track record of improving student outcomes through data-driven instruction. He has also been involved in numerous grants and classroom initiatives, including work in STEM BEST programming and brain health.

Throughout his career, Fritz has played an active role in district strategic planning focused on strengthening student and staff leadership. He has expanded opportunities for students through innovative programming and implemented continuous improvement systems, including the SAMI model and MTSS. Additionally, he led the implementation of Fastbridge assessments for grades 6–12 and partnered with physical therapy organizations to develop an Athletic Training program.

He also shared his excitement to begin serving the Clayton Ridge Community
