Colesburg Woman Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV

A Colesburg woman was injured when she was ran over by a 2004 Toyota Highlander in the front yard of residence on South Franklin Street in Colesburg Thursday afternoon (7/9). The Iowa State Patrol says a 14 year old male was operating the vehicle. His name is being withheld due to his age. The woman was transported to Regional Medical Center in Manchester and then airlifted to the University of Iowa with serious injuries. The name of the woman is also being withheld at this time. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Colesburg Ambulance and Earlville Ambulance.
