Charles City advanced into the Regional Semi-Final with a 4-3 walk-off win over North Fayette/Valley. Megan Korbel reached on a one out single and stole second to move into scoring position. Lexan Joslin followed with her second double of the game to drive in the game-winning run. Averiana Wohller drove in two and Jayla Hall scored two runs. Ali Shirley drove in a run for the Comets. North Fayette/Valley was led by Taylor Dean who had two hits, drove in a run and scored. Skyler Yourisn singled and drove in a run, Lainey Donnelly also drove in one. Kadee Batterson doubled and courtesy runner Lillie Cline scored. Hannah Schroeder singled and scored. NFV closes the season at 19 and 14. Charles City will host Osage on Saturday night. The Green Devils advanced with an 11-2 win over New Hampton.
