Oelwein man charged after driving complaint in Fayette County

On July 10^th, 2026, at approximately 11:02 PM the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a Driving Complaint near Highway 3 on R Ave heading southbound into the City of Oelwein. While in the area, a Fayette County Deputy observed the described vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. An investigation occurred and subsequently Brandon Michael Reaves (age 35) of Oelwein, was placed under arrest for OWI 1^st Offense and Possession of Controlled Substance – Cannabidiol 1^st Offense. Brandon was transported to the Fayette County Jail where he was held until court.
