Incident Details: Deputies responded to a report of a physical altercation that had occurred at a residence on Greene Street in Castalia. Subsequently, Kaden Brown was arrested and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail for Serious Misdemeanor Domestic Abuse Assault – Injury or Mental Illness -1st Offense.
No injuries reported in an accident that involved three-vehicles in Winneshiek County. Authorities report that accident occurred on July 9th at 4:25pm on Iowa Highway 9. 23-year old Yitzchock Wieder of Monsey, New York was operating a 2026 Jeep Compass failed to yield on a left hand turn and pulled in front of a 2022 Jeep Compass operated by 64-year old Patricia Lynn Kammeyer of Waukon. Kammeyer attempted to stop but struck the Wieder vehicle. A third vehicle, a 2019 Chevy Traverse, operated by 21-year old Shania Jean Dundee of Waukon avoided the collision by entering the ditch. Daamage totaled nearly 24-thousand dollars. Yitzchock was charged with Failure to Yield Upon Left Turn.
